Poor Monday. Songs have been written about Monday, decrying it's existence. Two melancholy songs come to mind: "Monday, Monday", sung by the Mamas and the Papas and "Rainy Days and Mondays", sung by Karen Carpenter. There's a cute upbeat song by ??? called "Manic Monday."
Not too many people like Monday. I feel as though I am chiefest of the lot who do not like this day. It's the start of a work week and the start of things that must be cared for at home, like grocery shopping. Note: I do not do the grocery shopping. Hero does it and I am so thankful but I must help him plan the list and then unpack the bags...even this is a drag. Work was particularly draining today. Perfect for a Monday!
I know what all of you are saying, "Get over it and stop complaining!" Well, Monday is almost over now and I am content. Hero and I can say, "Take a deep breath. We're home now."
By the way, our one shining highlight was having dinner in town with #4 Son and Ali. They came into Philly to run an errand and asked if we would like to have dinner. We had a very nice time. Thanks for making our day, Jon and Ali!
Goodnight!
