Marketers are ever-pushing the envelope when it comes to getting a jump on the season. I was in Target today and discovered that what used to be the gardening section is now the back-to-school section. It used to be August when I'd begin to see the circulars heralding the advent of a new school year. In actuality, I loved going shopping for school supplies and waited anxiously for the mailman to deliver class schedules and supplies lists - but not until mid-August.
Target also had a fresh supply of kicky, cute plaid skorts. Perfect for the first day of school for a certain brand new preschooler!
I just don't want the fall to start in July!
