I'm Revolting!

I just came back from Wegman's and Walgreen's and have decided that I am going to become a consultant and teach the masses the fine art of customer service. I'll be rich and famous and the world will be a better place!

The checkout girl at Wegman's did not say ONE WORD to me the entire time she was ringing my order. Instead, she carried on a discussion with her colleague next to her complaining about a fellow colleague who, in their eyes, was slacking off on the job. How ironic.

The young girl in the Walgreen's drive through, although she did speak to me, did not handle herself with the best of skills.

To anyone who stumbles upon this blog, remember these rules of good customer service:

  1. It's not what you do/say but how you do/say it.

  2. Sometimes, it's not what you're doing, it's what you're not doing.

  3. Make eye contact and SMILE.

  4. The customer pays your salary.

  5. The customer is always right.
