Why a Granny should take the advice of her DIL's.

Several years ago, I started a tradition of providing Easter dresses for Hada and Naomi. That first year, I thought it would be really fun if Christy, the girls and I could all go shopping together for the dresses. You know, a girls day out. You see, I never had girls to shop for/with and ALWAYS left my We-Hate-Shopping-Boys at home with their Dad.

My very wise Daughter-In-Love, Christy, thought it best that we leave Hada and Naomi at home with our menfolk. Did I listen? Nooooooo, I insisted on bringing them. This would be a super fun adventure. Well it was an adventure alright! Suffice it to say, we never took the girls again. They didn't misbehave, mind you. They were just....well... everywhere!

You may be wondering the point to my blogginess.

Well, I invited Amels over today to help me decorate for Christmas. Her Mommy, my DIL also very wise, mentioned that she decorated when her sweet babies were napping. Did I listen? Noooooooo. I'm a GRANNY, for cryin'-in-a-bucket. I certainly could put out some decorations with the gentle assistance of a sweet 3-year old. Right? After the *decorating*, Amels had lunch of macs-n-cheese; then we shared an apple with peanut butter while watching "A Charlie Brown Christmas".

Suffice it to say, Amels' decorating skills need to be polished a bit. That will come in time. Now, my dilemna is to re-arrange everything and hope she won't notice!

The end.

Aren't you glad your boys married talented, intelligent women? We need somebody to keep us in line :)

I just hope I will be just as wise as Christy and Michelle when it comes to dealing with children.

You already are! It's just me. I lose whatever common sense I have when it comes to my grandchildren!

No - the grandkids can do everything we were never allowed to do!! Makes sense to me :)
